Instead, they\u2019ll be using a variety of creative, touch-free greetings to connect with their patients! Your Terrell dentist shares nine ways to say hello while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.texasdentistryterrell.com\/covid-19-precaution.html\">staying healthy in COVID-19.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1.) A Friendly Wave<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re a hugger or handshaker, saying hello in the age of social distancing may feel very unfamiliar. But remember, greeting others in a meaningful way can be as simple as giving a friendly wave!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2.) Bow<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re looking for a subtle, respectful way to greet others, try giving a slight bow. In Japan, this polite gesture is used to say many things, including I\u2019m sorry, thank you, hello, and goodbye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.) Hand Over Heart<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus demonstrated a friendly yet dignified greeting by placing his right hand over his heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4.) Namaste<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For a more relaxed way to say hello and signify gratitude, try practicing namaste. You can make this traditional Southeast Asian salutation by pressing the palms together at your heart and bowing your head slightly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5.) Shaka<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Another laid-back greeting that\u2019s popular among surfers and cab drivers is the shaka. This island hello can be created by making a fist and extending your pinky and thumb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6.) Footshaking<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Just because the world isn\u2019t shaking hands right now doesn\u2019t mean you can\u2019t \u201cshake\u201d feet!
