Dr. Anyanwu says that she looks forward to coming to work every day because our office is filled with so many happy people. When those around you are in good spirits and love what they do, it just uplifts everything! She knows you’ll enjoy being here just as much as her, and below, you can start getting to know her.
When Dr. Anyanwu was in high school, she decided to go into dentistry after getting braces. She actually enjoyed the entire process and loved how friendly the dentist and staff were whenever she came in for her progress checkups. She knew for a long time that she wanted to do something in healthcare, and she is naturally artistic as well, so dentistry seemed like a natural fit.
Dr. Anyanwu graduated from the University of California, Berkley before ultimately earning her dental degree at the Western University of Health Science. She went on to complete her Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Texas A&M. Always eager to learn and improve, she still pursues continuing education and is an active member in the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and California Dental Association.
Dr. Anyanwu is very proud of her parents who immigrated to the U.S. from Nigeria when they were in their 20s. Today, Dr. Anyanwu and her siblings are all enjoying great success thanks to their efforts—her older sister is a pharmacist, her younger sister is in medical school, and her little brother is currently attending Harvard. Her hobbies include hairstyling, playing basketball, singing, writing, and she loves to travel--any chance she gets, she tries to visit a new state or country.
